The European Pressure Directive 97/23/EC (PED) is applicable to all systems having a maximum allowable pressure of 0.5 barg or above. At Chromalox we are able to offer you equipment that satisfies the requirements of the Directive for Categories I, II, III & IV. It is essential that you ensure full process information is given prior to ordering to enable our trained engineers to check for PED compliance.

It is our policy to automatically update our product specifications to comply with or exceed the standards set by EU legislation. All our products meet the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) 73/23/EEC and where applicable the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC and the Machinery Directive 89/392/EEC.

Where requirements dictate that electrical equipment must to be suitable for installation in a hazardous area, Chromalox can offer a comprehensive range of certified equipment. Certification includes: ATEX 94/9/EC - IECEX - CSA - SAA - BKI - EVPU - GOST
